Join us in Inky Antic's "Spring HoneyPOP" Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to another Inky Antics blog hop!
If you are here from sweet Debbie's blog, you are in the right place. Weren't her projects darling?  :)
If you just happened on to my blog, you really should head over to the Inky Antic's blog where it all starts.

Today the girls are going to share some of the new Spring HoneyPOP sets with you. They are all super adorable and so fun to play with!

Here is a card I created with the #1109MC Tulip Ducky HoneyPOP clear set, which can be found on THIS PAGE.

The designer paper I used is K&Company's - Tim Coffee "Cottage Garden" stack, and the cardstock is Discount Card Stock's Brilliant White and Vista  Metallic cardstock.
The pretty ribbon is Really Reasonable Ribbon's - Fantasy Rose Diamond Satin
It was all put together with Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Glue and ZapDots.

Jere is a picture of the inside with the fun HoneyPOP feature. These sets are created so that you can use them in so many fun ways!

Here I just stamped and colored the image on a scrap piece of paper, then glued it to another piece of paper (for sturdiness), then cut out around the image. I left extra paper at the top to glue the "tulip" to and at the bottom to glue the "grass" base to. I just freehand cut out 2 identical pieces of the green HoneyPOP and glued them together, sandwich-ing the base of the image between them to form a stand.

Your next stop on the hop is my sweet friend Tex's blog. I bet she has something extra cute to share with you.
Please remember to leave a comment on all of the girl's blogs to increase your chances of winning one of two AWESOME Inky Antics prizes. :)
The hop ends on Sunday Feb. 27 @ midnight Central time, and the winners will be announced the following Monday. Make sure and check the Inky blog to see if you are one of them! :)

Thanks for dropping by!

Paper Napkin ATC

Hi Everyone!

While I was at CHA, I saw an awesome demo done with paper napkins. My friend Ally Gower also inspires me with her napkin work. I decided to give it a go myself.
I found some awesome paper napkins at Hallmark just last night and decided to put them to use.
Over at Split Coast Stampers today, the IC324 challenge is inspired by a site called Creative Wallcovering.
Just so happens I had the perfect napkins!
I have only done a few ATCs but thought I would do one today. Here it is...

And here is the inspiration photo from Split Coast Stampers challenge...

Pretty close right? :)

You can see the napkin I used in this photo along with Helmar Decoupage which I used to adhere it to my chipboard.

I used 2 different Tim Holtz-Stampers Antonymous sets.
A stamp from the #CMS075 Ultimate Grunge set was used to stamp the checkerboard around the edges. I did it in Ranger Perfect Medium then dusted it with #664 Super Bronze - Perfect Pearls powder.
I used a stamp from the #CMS110 "Stuff To Say" set. I stamped it with Ranger's Archival Jet Black then heat embossed it with Ranger's clear embossing powder.
I embellished it with one of Tim Holtz's Idea-ology photo corners, a pretty Prima flower and Want2Scrap's -Black swirl rhinestones.

I would love to know what you think of my ATC!

Girly Grung Tag

Hi Everyone!
I got some HaPpY MaIl yesterday from Stampers Anonymous and couldn't wait to play with it!
Today over @ Split Coast Stampers, the WT362 challenge is "Bountiful Borders" we were asked to use border punches...so I did!
I created this glamed up girly grunge tag using a Fiskars boarder punch on both sides of the green panel and to make the rosettes.
Since I was using so much Tim Holtz product, I just HAD to make a tag. KWIM?  :)

I used Tim Holtz - brand new Stamper's Anonymous #CMS110 Stuff To Say and #CMS075 Ultimate Grunge stamp sets.
The designer paper is from the Tattered Time stack by DCWV.
The pretty pearl bling is Maxxi Girl Pearl Swirls from Want2Scrap.
The pretty hand dyed silk is Moon Goddess from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
The Penelope Natural Crochet Lace on the rosette is also from RRR.
I used Helmar Acid Free Glue to put the papers together and Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to add the rosettes and buttons.

Other products used are:
Tim Holtz Distress Stains in Walnut, Evergreen Bough and Vintage Photo
Martha Stewart butterfly punch
Ranger Ind. Perfect Peal mists in Perfect Pearl and Perfect Copper
Ranger Ind. Clear Embossing Powder
Buttons, jute, embroidery thread and clear glass glitter

Here is a peek at the rest of the HaPpY MaIl I got from Stampers Anonymous. Look for lots more SA projects! :)

I would love to hear what you think about my tag...especially since I have not done very many of them. :)

Have a great day!

CardMaker Magazine Blog Hop and CDS Digi Release Day!

Hello everyone!

Today's card is a double duty beauty! :)

Now, for the CardMaker hop, the theme is "Little Lullaby's". We were asked to create a card for a baby.
I wanted to use my pre-colored Butterfly Bunny digi that is releasing today so I took a little artistic licence and made a different sentiment then what comes with the stamp (this is something anyone can do in Word or any photo editing program).  I think the "Welcome Little One" sentiment makes this image work very well for a baby card. ;)

I printed 2 images then popped part of it with Helmar ZapDots to give it some added interest and dimension.
I created the floral designer paper to match the image and it is included in the "Butterfly Bunny" digi set.

The cardstock is Brilliant White and Herbal Garden Medium both from Discount Card Stock.
I used some pretty seam binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
The white pearls are from Want2Scrap and it was all put together with Helmar 450 Quick Dry Glue.

This is what my new pre-colored Butterfly Bunny digi set looks like.
It is available now from Clear Dollar Stamps for just $3.50 and it comes with the colored version, (2) digi papers, the sentiment plus a line art version in case you would like to color it yourself.

Make sure and visit the rest of the CardMaker blog design team. I am sure they have some adorable baby cards to share with you!
Here are the links...
Trudy Sjolander -You are here :)

We would love it if you left comments on all of the blogs so we will know who took the time to come visit us. ;)

Make sure and head back to the CardMaker blog and let us know what you thought of the hop! :)

Also, Please go check out the Clearly iStamp blog and check out all of the new digis plus more cards the girls have created with my Butterfly Bunny set.

"Live a Creative Life" Mixed Media Canvas

Hi Everyone!
Today I created a mixed media canvas to share with you.
I used lots of distress inks, pearlized mists, and Helmar adhesives.

DSC02866

I created the canvas background by gesso-ing first then using a distress ink technique  with Ranger and Tim Holtz Inks and Perfect Pearls mists plus lots of water. Then I stamped the Stampavie "A Creative Life" sentiment and image on the canvas and heat embossed. (The set was a gift from my sweet friend Allie Gower) I also stamped the image on an old book page then watercolored it. I attached it to the canvas with Helmar Decoupage.

I used Helmar Gemstone glue to attach the tiny little glitter flowers and Helamr Decoupage to add the eggshell mosaic coblestone walk way.
I "blinged" up the sun with some Yellow Ranger Stickles and some Amber Want2Scrap Gemstones.

I would love to know what you think about my canvas, especially since I am really just a card artist.  :)
Like the sentiment says though...."To live a creative life, we must loose our fear of being wrong".

To see a couple of photos of the project in the works, please visit the Helmar team blog. ;)

Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop Time! :)

Hi Everyone!
It's time for another...

If you came here from Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings blog, you're in the right place. If not, pop on back there so you don't miss a thing.
Bonnie picked the CUTEST ribbons for this month's ribbon of the month club kit. I am sure the girls have created some darling samples with them. I can't wait to visit all of their blogs to check them out.

I did a St. Patrick's Day card with the pretty Daisy Apple Green Grosgrain that is included in this month's set.

I used Kitchen Sink Stamp's Shamrock and Clover set, some Ranger Archival Inks, and a dot embossing folder to create my "background paper".
Then I made my shamrock with a Spellbinders heart die.
Here is the Monthly Ribbon Club set for February. Isn't it pretty? :)

The cardstock I used is Brilliant White and Luscious Lime Double Mate, both from Discount Card Stock.
I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry Glue and Helmar Zap Dots to put it all together.
The beautiful Sage Green Pearls are from Want2Scrap.
The pretty Brighton flower is from Petaloo.

In case you missed it, I did a CHA re-cap on the CardMaker Magazine blog the other day with highlights including a fun picture of Tim Holtz signing my bag! Come on back here after you finish the hop and go check it out HERE. ;)

Thanks so much for dropping by!
Please remember to leave a comment below to increase your chances of winning a blog hop prize from Really Reasonable Ribbon!

You next stop is sweet Judy's joyful blog. I'm sure she will have something that will make your jaw hit the floor! :)

I was in a Charity Flask Mob!!!! :)

Hi Everyone!

I was in a fun Charity Wings flash mob while at CHA in Los Angeles.
They have the video edited and up and asked that we spread the word to get the video to go viral!
Glad to do it!
It was a blast!
BTW...I am in the red on the far left side once the dance has been going a bit.
It was all for some wonderful charities.
They would love it if you re-posted the video and linked to it on face book.
Lets help support this wonderful group of artists who raise funds for so many!  :)
